I want to share my positive experience with Freedom Tree Service located on Gum Spring Road in Manassas. In February 2024, I received Johnny’s name as a referral from our neighborhood community. I contacted his office and Johnny visited my home to address concerns about our tree and that of my neighbors. He explained that our 17-year-old cherry trees have a lifespan of around 25 years – confirming what a master gardener shared with me only months previously. Johnny patiently answered all my questions and inspected each tree carefully. He suggested monitoring the trees during their blooming period to decide on the best course of action. During the wait process, Shannon from the front office was always courteous, prompt in her responses, and well-informed about my discussions with Johnny. Today (May 2024) the trees were pruned. Johnny and his team arrived early and first secured the street and sidewalks with safety cones to alert passing foot and car traffic. We reviewed the specific details of the pruning process for our aging trees, and they got to work. They were meticulous when they cut the branches to ensure the new growth will come in full and strong. They were courteous, worked efficiently, remained focused and shared important details along the way. When the job was completed, I walked outside to observe the outcome. They left our yards looking immaculate with no trace of their presence except for the pruned trees – not even a scraggly branch was left behind! I highly recommend Freedom Tree Service, a small local business (that gives back to their community)! If your cat ever decides to climb a tree, call this company. They worked with another arborist company to assist me with getting my cat out of this tree. They continue to work with me, even after my cat jumped out of this tree into another one. They helped me, catch her when she jumped 100 feet into a blanket. Could not recommend them enough. They were extremely timely and understood the circumstance. Absolutely use them if your cat ever climbs a tree and then make your Outdoor cat and indoor cat.

I had a die back problem with my Japanese "fire glow" maple, which we love and is the centerpiece of our front yard. My wife and I called Freedom Tree service, who had done work for us before, and Johnny came out. He was on time then took his time and accessed the situation. He then pruned the dead branches and thoughtfully explained the care and feeding for our tree. Now our tree looks good again and we are thrilled. Thank you Johnny of Freedom Tree Service!

I have used freedom tree on several occasions, both for my home tree work and for our HOA. My neighbor and friend recently passed and his widow needed a tree removed and so I set the work up with Freedom. As always, they did great work, but in this case they went above and beyond their normal high standards by removing a dead tree I had not noticed, at no cost, and believe it or not they tilled her garden. Their clean up is always fantastic as she noted that she did not even know they had been there until she noticed the tilled garden. Fantastic company. This level of professionalism is what I have experienced every time I use them. Courteous, conscientious and they act with integrity.

We had some tree work done by Freedom Tree Service! Couldn’t be happier! They were timely, did a great job and cleaned up everything before they left! Personally spoke to one of the owners as he wanted to ensure we were satisfied with the job. He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. 10/10 would recommend them!
