Adam rescued our cat from a tree, where it been for 3 days. He obviously has done this a lot and was able to quickly rope up into the tree, reach out to the cat on a small limb and get it into a carrier he brought up with him. Our cat is hyper-skittish and was not cooperative at all, but he got her, to our great relief.

Adam is great! A large limb of our tree fell in a windstorm onto our roof after 5 pm on a Friday. I wasn't expecting anyone to pick up the phone as I called multiple companies given that many trees were down in the area, weather was wild, and the weekend rush hour was underway. To my surprise, not only did Adam pick up, he took the time to educate me on the process, and asked me to send pictures of the tree. He was able to come out the very next day, remove the limb and was careful enough to save more of the tree than he initially expected! Adam is thorough in his work and also was able to make a great roofing company recommendation. While he was working on our tree, he took a look at others in our yard to educate us on things to look out for and keep in mind long term for the health of our tress. He and his assistant left our yard amazingly clean. Beyond that, he did follow up later in the week to see how things were going with the roofing company to ensure the recommendations he was making were top notch. He mentioned a portion of our gutter that was bent by the tree that our insurance adjuster didn't catch. He sent over a few pictures to show what he was referring to and wound up saving us money in the long term as we sorted out roof repair! In an emergency, we couldn't have been happier. We highly recommend Adam and Out on a Limb Tree Services and intend to use them under less urgent circumstances in the future.

I recently bought a house and didn't notice when doing the walkthrough that the previous owners were nice enough to leave me an extremely dead ash tree to take care of... I attempted to cut it myself which was my first mistake - when they say "leave it to the professionals" this is what they are talking about! I started calling around everywhere and had 2 different teams come out and say there was nothing they could do. Lucky for me I made a call to Adam. He was willing to come out and even if he wasn't able to take the tree down he wanted to try and secure the sight so at the very least the tree wouldn't fall on my house. It was already pretty late in the day and when he showed up within the hour, I believe it was 6:30 PM. Him and his team worked until they knew my house and my family were no longer in immediate danger. They through cables up and made these crazy pully systems and really went above and beyond. I thought he was gonna say that he couldn't do anything or that it was getting too dark but he continued to help me out. He was able to swing a 50 ft dead branch around. He did what others wouldn't and it was extremely impressive what he did! My house ended up with no damage and I was able to sleep like a baby that night. Fair rates and excellent service is what Adam can provide and he won't stop until the job is done. I highly recommend using Adam and Out On A Limb Tree Service!

Excellent service. Finding myself newly distressed over a neighboring tree falling on our home garage, Adam was the only person on a weekend who offered unsolicited advice over the phone on what to expect of the situation. Then, after I proceeded with due diligence and consulted multiple tree service companies to my home, it was evident his expertise exceeds all others. Very courteous and fair. I've now hired Adam concerning a broad range of tree activities. Each time I learn a little more and gain further trust in his professionalism. Highly recommended!

Adam Wingo is proof that heroes don't always wear capes. A big storm blew through our neighborhood recently and a big 80 foot oak tree in our backyard fell over and landed on the limb of another tree. It balanced there precipitously threatening to fall on our house. Unknown to us, the roots of the fallen oak tree had completely rotted away. It was a dangerous situation, so we called around frantically. A few other companies either refused the work as too dangerous or told us we needed a crane. Many companies weren't even open on the weekend. Another storm was threatening in two days, and the crane companies were probably several days from being available since trees were down throughout Northern Virginia. We weren't hopeful, but on a whim, we called Adam because another tree company actually suggested we call him. We called Adam on a Sunday. Not only did he take our call, but he patiently listened and thoroughly asked detailed questions about the tree and the situation we faced. Within ten minutes, he was on the road to us and would be our salvation. On the spot, he assessed the situation, committed to do the job without a crane and called his wife to tell her he wouldn't be home for dinner. It would be a very technical job and impossible for most, but it became very clear to us that Adam was not just another tree guy. Not only did he have very extensive experience, but he was also a certified arborist who was extremely knowledgeable about trees. Over the course of the next two days, he worked into the dark of night and safely brought down the tree. Then the very next day, another storm came through that almost certainly would've brought down the tree onto our house. Adam literally saved our home. In a crowded field of tree services with great ratings, Out on a Limb truly stands above the rest. It deserves six stars! We've used other tree services with five star ratings in the past, but Adam detailed why the past work done on our surviving tree was subpar. Adam thoroughly explained to us how to trim a tree differently that would actually strengthen the long term health of a tree. He even brings special electronic equipment to assess the health of a tree, listening to the insides of the trunk. He is truly a jedi master of trees. When Adam and his crew left, they left almost no trace that they had even been there except for the hole where the fallen tree had been. The only thing Adam left behind was our intact home and the impressions from his kind and humorous spirit.
